I see some things in AP that I think are amazing features, or that are really well implemented (in which case I don't want them changed). Is this an appropriate place for "good job!" or "please don't change this"?

Most such plaudits go into the Affinity Support & Questions forum. Perhaps they can be seen as support for Affinity!

Well, there is also a Feature Requests & Feedback forum, which seems to me to be a good place to post feedback. :)
