Old Bruce
I am not sure if this is by design or not but the use of arrowheads on a shape's outline renders the the align of inside or outside to a center alignment. All in all I am quite enjoying this new beta. MattP 1 Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. Mark Oehlschlager
Under what circumstance would one want to shift the alignment of an arrowhead away from the stroke it's meant to finish?

fde101
Personally I find it a bit strange that arrowheads are being applied to closed shapes. That doesn't really impress me as particularly logical (if the shape is closed, where does it start and end?) Mark Oehlschlager
Old Bruce
I was just reporting, but perhaps one would use it for directional information. Staff MattP Posted March 6, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 6, 2019 In a shape that you've created yourself as curves, the start and end point may indeed be extremely important, and not being able to add an arrowhead (or be forced to unclose it) is not great either... hawk
Staff MattP Posted March 6, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 6, 2019 ...and yes, it's by design that you can't put arrowheads on anything other than centre-aligned lines. That could change in the future, but right now it's deliberate Mithferion and hawk 1
