dkj Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 When I create a path using the Affinity Designer pen tool, some of the nodes are square, and some are round; some nodes include dots, and some are empty. I haven't been able to find an explanation of this in the help files. Quote

Pšenda Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 About lines, curves and shapes The type of node controls the connected segments. There are three basic types of node: Sharp (A)—causes an abrupt change in direction between segments, creating a point. Bézier (smooth) (B)—creates a continuous curve between segments. Smart (C)—creates a continuous curve but uses a line of best fit. Martin S Taylor Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Kind of follow-up question: if I draw a curve using the pen tool, Bézier nodes are always round but Sharp nodes are square; this is the behaviour I expect. But if I dras a curve using the pencil tool, the end-points of the curve are always square even if they are Bézier nodes. Why is this? Martin Quote
