SP59 Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 I may not be the first to ask this – are there plans to introduce a slug area in Designer. It's a big MUST in this trade? PierMax and ronnyb 2
Staff Sean P Posted February 19, 2019 Staff Posted February 19, 2019 Hi SP59, this is definitely something that development want to include into Publisher, so I don't see why it wouldn't also come to Designer. I've passed your comments on to development. PierMax and ronnyb 1 1
PierMax Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 The slug is important because you can put information that is impossible to modify in the information area such folding line or some specification.
PierMax Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 One trick is put the bleed area larger in the document setup (remain 3 mm in the document) but make the crop lines manually.

Been getting by using this "TRICK" for a while now, really missing that lovely slug area🤪 Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 1.4.3 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.3, Sonoma 14.1.1 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.4.0 Betas 2.5.0(2430) www.bingercreative.co.uk

Andy Far Out Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 I've been stuck for the simple fact that since there isn't a slug area, I can't add fold marks on my brochure outputs. Is there another way to indicate fold marks to printers?
