VectorCat Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 I created an image in Photo, exported it as a PNG slice.. Then in Designer, I “Placed” it...got the instruction to drag out to make it the size I want. Afterward, I don’t see it! It’s layer has a checkmark. I dun git it..Is there something more I need to do to make a placed graphic be visible? Thanks! Quote
Alfred Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Go to the Layers Studio and check for things like other layers obscuring or masking it, or a blend mode other than ‘Normal’. VectorCat Posted December 24, 2018 Author Posted December 24, 2018 Great suggestions, both and they turned out to be correct, in a sense, although I’m still confused. I placed the image onto one of 2 artboards in the document. Although both artboards and all of their child layers were set to “Visible,” I didn’t see my placed art, though it was present in the layers studio and it also had a checkmark checked next to its layer name. I kept futzing around and eventually got it to appear but as I said, it is 100% un-clear to me why it didn’t appear instantly upon being placed onto a visible artboard. Any thoughts as to why this could be? Quote
Wosven Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Hi, Didn't you placed it on the wrong artboard? For example, you've got Artboard A and B. You're currently "in" the artboard A, but you place/drop the new element on artboard B, and then you suppose it should appear in the arboard B? (but the element is "in" the artboard A (in Artboard A layers), but in the "margins" of artboard A => not visible in the space delimited by this artboard, since it's at the level of the artboard B). artboards.afdesign Quote
