c_moon
Hi. Could I add my voice to those requesting the ability to draw a circle (or other regular shape) selection from the centre i.e. outwards from the cursor which is positioned at the centre? Many thanks. Alfred
You can already do this with any of the Shape Tools. Hold down the Ctrl on Windows (or the Cmd key on a Mac) while dragging out or resizing the shape. walt.farrell
That's part of it, but the OP wants a Selection, not a shape. Select > Selection from Layer would get that, but then the shape layer needs to be deleted. I'm not sure if there's anything simpler. That would be a good approach, and is available already in the Photo 1.7 beta. Thanks. Thanks. I'm surprised that if a circle shape can be done centre outwards that a selection can't - but perhaps it's too techie (though lowly Elements had it). Anyway, thanks guys for the workaround. However, I'm being thick or click happy, but I can't seem to work this (new) option correctly. Is there some instruction you could point me to? Many thanks. Surprised to hear this often used Photoshop choice does not exist in AP.
