Text on circle path in Affinity Photo

Looking for a way to place text on a patch, specifically on a circle outline in Affinity Photo.

I've read some older posts that state that there's no such thing as Text on patch in AP but
I want to double check this fact myself as text on a circle is the most basic text on patch 
option and it does not require complex pathing...

That's correct. Text-on-a-path is only available in Affinity Designer (and Publisher when released).

wow. that's unexpected. this option - talking about text on circle, not any path - is a basic digital graphics tool whether vector
or raster and is available even in the most unchiseled design softwares...

Yes, but Affinity Photo is not a design software, whereas Affinity Designer is. You can create your text-on-a-circle in Designer and copy it into Photo. Or even open your .afphoto file in Designer and take it from there.

Affinity Photo is a RAW converter/developer and image editing app, not a typical design tool. Although other applications do provide it, we are trying to keep each app of the suite as much focused on its area(s) as possible.
