Tabulation Support (Dennis)

Unlike serif pageplus there does not appear to be any tabulation support or how do you get round this in Publisher

Hi Menace

Tables in Publisher are currently just for layout purposes and do not do any data manipulation. Not to say this won't be added in the future though. For now I'm afraid you will need to do any data manipulation externally

Hi Menance yes I just find out that too. A bit wired. That's a shame but I'm sure the team will implement that soon.

By tabulation do you mean tab-stops to produce tabulated text - columns of numerals for example?

If so, you can go to

View>Show Text Ruler

This will put a ruler on the top of the text frame on which you can set tab stops that will enable tabulation. Handily, when you zoom in the ruler zooms too and drops down the page as you scroll.

Using the vertical double arrow on the left of the ruler allows you to place it where you need it.
