SchreibZen
Hi! I tried to make this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP62Kl7yE_U In the tutorial is shown, that a layer is duplicated, transformed and then duplicated several times, so the clipart is rotating around the center. He's using CTRL+J (on Windows). If I try this on my iMac CMD+J only duplicate the layer without the rotation. Is this a bug or did I something wrong? I tried this several times and it never works as in the video shown. I'm using an iMac mid 2011, 16GB RAM, High Sierra 10.13.6 and Affinity Photo V1.6.
Old Bruce
1: Make your selection with the Move Tool (the arrow), 2: Command + J to duplicate the layer, 3: (the thing should still be selected) Rotate (and/or move), 4: Hit command + J again. Do all this with the Move Tool being active, I am fairly certain that you cannot use the Transform Studio to give exact values. Bernd
It does work with CMD+J on Mac. But make sure not to unselect/reselect the copy you just created and rotated. Do it immediately after rotating, with the object still selected. stokerg and Old Bruce
Mr. Lauri
I haz come to this point too! In my case it was a star created with the star-tool. Wasn't able to perform this multiple duplication coupled with transformation. rotation was ok but didn't scale. This worked out fine after converting the thing to curves. And wait, giving it a try with the cat-tool – yep, cats did transform as expected, scaling and rotating of all cats was ok.

Mr. Lauri
ops. this was on AD 1.6.5 on a mac. addendum: what seemed like a bug might actually not be one – just figured out that with an all new star-shape it didn't behave like that. The strange behaviour occurred when working with a shape that was a already copied from another.
