Affinity Publisher looks really great! Only feature I have found that I miss is the ability to have alternating colors / formating of every other row, and maybe column.

I just canceled my last Adobe subscription ;-)

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

You can create your own table formats and apply them as you wish.

I see the option of the table style. And that is ok. But I don't see that is possible to make a setting for "every other row". But maybe I don't understand how the table style editor works.

When editing a table format you have the option to set a repeating area with the movable arrows around the preview. If you set it so it repeats the two rows it will apply the alternative style to the table automatically

OK. I are used to use a lot of different software. But I find the table style editor hard to understand. But I understand what it "tries" to do, at least. But some additional guides in the UI for how to use it might be in place.

I agree that the Table Format/Styles needs some work. I've been playing with the format panel and for the life of me cannot get it to do any "normal" table formatting such as header rows, etc.

Seems there should be included some fairly standard table styles available as a starter, then it should be easy to modify those to a style that could be saved in used in other related corporate documents. The way it is right now appears to require far too much work (and guessing) to get just a fairly simple, but styled table. The current interface is just non-intuitive as far as setting up a savable table style.

Thanks.
