Rick G Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Attached is a photo from the Hasselblad contest. I am sure photoshop was used but can someone give me some suggestions for reproducing this effect? IT looks like art rather than a photo. I see some blurr in there but that is not the entire story Thanks in advance Quote Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
v_kyr Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Depending on the photo motive that's not very difficult, here is a night shot of a well know place in town ... ... and then some applied adjustments ... ... and then tweak it further ... The way to get such an effect is overall to lower contrast (say -100%), enhance shadows (say +100%), reduce some color hues (cyan/blue/magenta about -35%) and add some slightly vibrance. - You can also apply selective color adjustments for certain colors of the respective image. toltec and Rick G 2 Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
firstdefence Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Or why not ask the photographer/editor how it was achieved? Actually looking over some of the Hasselblad Masters there appears to be a style theme with a lot of the photographers. v_kyr Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Quote How do I get a painting / drawing effect? The net will probably tell you much better here how to generally accomplish this ... How do You Achieve This Effect?
