Affinity Photo for Mac Updates for non Mac App Store purchases?

Hi,

how is it possible to update Affinity Photo for Mac when bought directly from the Affinity store? In my account there is no link to download the current version and there is no pop-up or menu entry to do it from within the app. The install the trial version and hope it asks for key does not work either (it just quits because it expired and directs me to the Mac App Store).

I am now on 1.5.2 version although my order was placed today!!!

Welcome to Affinity Forums

We don't sell the Mac version directly through the Affinity Store. It can only be purchased from the Mac App Store. Did you get it through the X-Rite promo?

Yes you are correct....but still I need to be able to update the software somehow.

Although what puzzles me is why I received such an outdated link instead of a current one.

I had the same issue a couple of days ago, the most recent update just didn't show up on the AppStore Updates page.
I logged out of the AppStore, re-started the computer, opened AppStore, logged back in and the update appeared.

Unfortunately this is not possible in my case since the purchase was not made on the Mac App store but on the Affinity store itself.

It seems that it's just a question of waiting patiently until the Mac build of version 1.6 becomes available via the Affinity Store.

Thanks Alfred, for digging up the relevant thread...seems like I'm not the only one...lets hope that we also get the freebies that came with the launch of 1.6 version as well

You should be able to claim the free Force Macro Pack, but I very much doubt that the Epic Skies overlays will be made available to you for free.

Did you buy the Mac version of Affinity Photo from the Mac App Store or the Affinity Store?
