en ningún video se muestra el uso de texto, ni de las posibilidades de seleccionarlo o de trabajar con él. Por ejemplo ahora yo quiero seleccionar un texto y que en el texto se muestre una foto que está en una capa inferior. Les agradecería la explicación.

 

No video shows the use of text, nor the possibilities of selecting it or working with it. For example, now I want to select a text and the text shows a photo that is in a lower layer. I would appreciate the explanation.

Have you seen this page in the Tutorials section? Its section 9 includes links to 4 official videos about the use of text in Affinity Designer. If you are using Affinity Photo, the Affinity Photo - Text: Branding/Watermarking tutorial may be of some interest.

Welcome to Affinity Forums

Just drag the image layer over the text object layer in the Layers panel (to use the text as a clipping layer for the image) or with the image selected and positioned over the text on canvas, press ⌘ (cmd) + X to copy it to cut it (it's copied to clipboard) then select the text object and go to menu Edit ▸ Paste Inside (⌥ (option/alt) + ⌘ (cmd) + V ). There's more ways to do this but these should work fine.

Yes, i assumed you were using the desktop version. In that case tap and hold the image layer in the Layers Studio until a horizontal blue line appears (keep holding it), then drag the image layer over the text layer - the blue line must move over the middle (not below or above it) of the text layer, then drop it there.
