"PT" units. the point size, are standard for typography. In English measurement, they are 1/72 of an inch.  Standard 12 pt. font size gives 6 lines per inch.  In metric, a point is.35 mm. .24 pt of a point is 1 pixel for the Mac Affinity Designer screen, which is the default stroke size.
