No automatic paragraph on enter

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to stop affinity photo from turning Enter into a new paragraph? Sometimes I just want to start a new line without the huge space in between.

Also I couldn't find an option to turn of spell checkin (if it's in the preferences, the search can't find it)

Shift+Enter will give you a line break instead of a paragraph break.

There's probably a spell checking toggle somewhere, but a simple way to turn off the squiggly red underline is to set the language of the text to 'None'.

You did not say if you are using the Mac or Windows version, but at least on a Mac, spelling options are on the Text menu so they can be accessed quickly & changed as needed.

Hi, thanks for the replies. I'm sorry I forgot to mention, but I'm using the Windows Version and Shift + Tab worked fine. For some reason I only tried Ctrl and Alt with Tab.

Thanks :)

Also I overlooked the language setting, but after looking a bit closer I found it :)

Thanks. It's in the same place on Windows ('Text > Spelling > Check Spelling While Typing').

That would be in the perfect world but AP is nonstandard in this regard and uses ctrl-enter. But maybe that is only in mac version.

Ctrl+Enter on Windows is equivalent to Cmd+Return on a Mac, which by default converts the selected object to curves.
