verysame
Is the align stroke broken in the latest release? It seems whatever option I choose, doesn't make any difference. Staff Sean P Posted November 18, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 18, 2016 They seem to be working correctly for me - are you able to attach an afdesign document that you are struggling to align strokes on please? Thanks
verysame
Hey Sean, Thanks for the prompt reply. Something odd, I just restarted AD and it's working fine now. I've had an issue before where the interface seemed to behave a little weird, after a restart it went back to normal. Just for sake of curiosity, does every new install a clean install or does it just overwrite the old folder? I was under the impression that a new install un-install the prev. version first. Staff Sean P Posted November 18, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 18, 2016 That's strange! If you do run into it again it may have been caused by a prior action so its worth thinking back to what you did and then try that after a restart to see if you can reproduce it. Regarding the installer, it does do a clean install every version, however user data and preferences are stored inside %AppData%\Affinity\ This is to ensure you do not lose custom presets, brushes, palettes etc after every update
verysame
Thanks for the info! I'll try to track the steps better next time, so I can give a more precise feedback in case of issues. Staff Sean P Posted February 9, 2017 Staff Share Posted February 9, 2017 I've just had the same issue. It won't allow me to change the alignment, even after restarting AD. Am I doing summat wong? Thanks in Advance Align Stroke can only be used on closed shapes and it is not possible to use it with lines/non-closed curves as shown in your file. rubs
Align Stroke can only be used on closed shapes and it is not possible to use it with lines/non-closed curves as shown in your file. ...but they should work in open paths too IMHO. Here is the same request. And here is one bad consequence of it not behaving this way.
