TLSchwarcz
Just downloaded and installed. Have no idea how to begin. Is there a "new user tutorial" for the basics? (Was quite pleased with Adobe's for Lightroom, for example).
Staff James Ritson Posted July 27, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2016 Hi, are you referring to Photo or Designer? Regardless, there's a huge amount of tutorials for both, including some beginners videos to get you started: they're on the website and the Tutorials forum here. See In-house Affinity Photo Video Tutorials and In-house Affinity Designer Video Tutorials for more information. At the moment, Photo has a specific beginners video series, but both apps have a "For Beginners" video that runs through the basics. Hope that helps! AJW
I too am in desperate need of a simple introduction to Mac desktop Affinity Photo. I have tried the ‘basic’ videos but they are not basic enough for me. Please help me get started.
Catshill
As well as the official tutorials, take a look at the ones on YouTube posted by the likes of Olivio and AffinityRevolution. Dip in and dip out
IanSG
Have a look at this one - it gives a good introduction and starts with the assumption that you know nothing. Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10
jmwellborn
@AJW. Welcome!! An excellent place to start is with the very thorough article in affinityspotlight.com, “Jump Into Affinity Photo.” It has the advantage of being able to be read as slowly or quickly as you would wish wish as you work your way around. Hope this helps. Quote 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16 GB unified memory, 1 TB SSD storage, Ventura 13.6. Photo, Publisher, Designer 1.10.5, and 2.3.
