KCP Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Is there a way to export and import (save) "New Document", file-size menu-categories for future use, in Affinity apps Quote
Hangman Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Hi @KCP, You can add your own custom page sizes and categories by selecting the Add New Preset and Add New Category icons at the bottom of the list of default page sizes however you can't import or export them but they will sync across the three apps... KCP Posted January 30 Author Posted January 30 Thanks, Hangman. I regularly create custom presets, which is why I was hoping to export the ones I rarely use, to unclutter my menu. Being able to collapse the menus would help a lot. The software is amazing, especially for the price, although it has a ways to go before ever becoming an industry standard. Time-saving tools are essential for commercial work. Hangman 1 Quote

For a while, it seemed that Serif was on track to eventually break Adobe's monopoly, although the Canva acquisition leads me to think they are going after more of a recreational-use consumer group. It is a bit tricky to do but while you can't really declutter the menu you can create one or more new categories for your little used presets & drag them to the bottom of the menu so they would not be visible unless you scrolled way down to access them. To reorder categories, first make sure the Favorites heart icon is not selected & then drag on any category name: as you begin the drag the display will change to just a list of all the category names so you can drag to reorder them.
