Is there a way to export and import (save) "New Document", file-size menu-categories for future use, in Affinity apps

Hi @KCP,

You can add your own custom page sizes and categories by selecting the Add New Preset and Add New Category icons at the bottom of the list of default page sizes however you can't import or export them but they will sync across the three apps...

Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7
Affinity Designer Beta 2.6.0.3125 | Affinity Photo Beta 2.6.0.3125 | Affinity Publisher Beta 2.6.0.3125

Thanks, Hangman. I regularly create custom presets, which is why I was hoping to export the ones I rarely use, to unclutter my menu. Being able to collapse the menus would help a lot. The software is amazing, especially for the price, although it has a ways to go before ever becoming an industry standard. Time-saving tools are essential for commercial work.

For a while, it seemed that Serif was on track to eventually break Adobe's monopoly, although the Canva acquisition leads me to think they are going after more of a recreational-use consumer group.

You can delete any of the default presets and categories you don't use in order to declutter the menu

Or mark the presets you created and others you use as "Favourites" then click the Favourites icon to just display those presets and none of the others

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

It is a bit tricky to do but while you can't really declutter the menu you can create one or more new categories for your little used presets & drag them to the bottom of the menu so they would not be visible unless you scrolled way down to access them.

To reorder categories, first make sure the Favorites heart icon is not selected & then drag on any category name: as you begin the drag the display will change to just a list of all the category names so you can drag to reorder them.
