N Hodghton Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I've just placed a four page article on my magazine. on pages 1, 2, and 3 all the text is spaced in about 2mm on both right and left sides, but page 4 is set to the normal edges. Why is this? There must be some unwanted idents on these pages but I don't know where to look. Norman Quote Using Publisher
Alfred Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Are you using a ‘Facing pages’ layout? Do you have the same Master Page(s) assigned to all the regular pages? By the way, you’re obviously asking about indents. An ident is an identification device, typically a short video or animated logo used to tell a TV audience which channel they’re watching. Hangman Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Hi @N Hodghton, If no Text Style is applied to the text, check the Paragraph panel for Left and Right Indents... If none are set check the Text Frame Panel for left and right Insets... N Hodghton Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Sorry, I did mean indents, my mistake. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look at it tomorrow, two hours this afternoon trying to get my head round Affinity Publisher is enough for my old brain! Norman Quote Using Publisher
N Hodghton Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Sorry to say, I am even more confused! I have 'No style' selected, I have facing pages. Where is the Text Frame Panel? Quote Using Publisher
N Hodghton Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 I've found the text frame panel, and it was reading 3mm all round. So that is sorted. Another question. I've added a short letter on one page, how do I add the end of story symbol at the end? Hangman 1 Quote Using Publisher

Is the 'short letter' in the form of editable text or is it an image, i.e., a scan of the letter? N Hodghton Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 It's editable text. I had a space between the end of one article and the bottom of the page. The next article started on the following page. I wanted to fill that space but didn't know if not having end of story symbol would cause problems. Norman Quote Using Publisher

The "end of story symbol" comes at the end of the text. We can't add one in the middle of a flow of text. We can make the next paragraph start on a new Page or new Text Frame using the Paragraph Styles.
