Bob Sanders Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I was hoping for much better functionality with the 'Select Subject' capability. I've just tested it on a few images and I've had very poor results on each one. Apart from being very slow even with the simplest subject I can find the resulting selection is inaccurate to say the least. I'm sure it's only expected to get you to a starting point but even so I would expect experienced users to despair and go back to the manual process they're already familiar with. The object selection tool seems better - more accurate and quicker. Do others have a different experience and I getting something wrong? Quote

Bob Sanders Posted December 10, 2024 Author Posted December 10, 2024 Here's a screenshot of the result of waiting five minutes for AP to 'Select Subject'. I'm running Windows 11 with 16 Gb RAM and plenty of hard drive space. As you can see the selection is far from perfect and could have been done in seconds with the pen tool. Quote
carl123 Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Can you upload that NEF file to the forum? So we can test to see if it's just your PC or others have the same issue Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Good. I'm pleased if this will help improve the software. I've been using Affinity Photo for some years now and it's a great editor. EmT 1 Quote
