How to copy or cut a part of a path/curve???

So this still not possible? Affinity has deliberately decided to ignore this basic functionality?

Still the only reason why I wouldn't switch from Ilustrator.

Why not just copy the whole path then delete the nodes you don't want? It seems like it would be the exact amount of work to copy all of the nodes you want then copying them, than deleting the nodes you don't want.

Because that's inefficient and suboptimal; selecting, copying and cutting specific segments of a vector is part of the common workflow of any design.

Sorry, I can't see the difference. Select the nodes you want then copy (in some other software) vs. select the nodes you don't want then delete them in all other software. You can break the curve at both ends of the curve you want then select the new segment and copy it. Really pretty simple.

Hi @Andro,

You can use the method of breaking the curve at each end of the curve that you wish to copy then copy this path and the reselect the both paths of the original shape and use the Join curves tool to recombine the shape.

Another workaround, especially for copying a curve section with only a few nodes.
