Hi fellow members,
I use an Apple studio M2 Ultra en Sonoma. If I try to export to no matter what extension, I always get an error message.
And if there is no error message it seems like everything is ok, but when I take a look in the folder there is nothing inn it.
What can I do or what is getting wrong?
Kindest regards,
jefvandejumenas

What is the error message?

If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Maybe the folder has lost permissions for Affinity. Try to choose a different one

I tried already other folders and it does not work. I changed the permissions toe "read and write"and granted full disk acces. The error message seems to be gone but I still cannot save>
In on1 I am not facing any problems. So I thinks ii is AP v2 related???

@jefvandejumenas: What kind of disk is /Volumes/Fotografie/Venice AI/ ? From that name I might guess that it's not an internal disk in your Mac, but what is it, and how is it attached to your system?

Forum usage hint, for the future: It's best to simply paste JPG or PNG images into the forum to show error messages, screenshots, etc. Using PDF or another file format simply makes extra work for the user who wants to see them.

Hi @walt.farrell I want to save to the NAS or to an external disk attached to the NAS.

Volumes/ This is the NAS
Fotografie/This is a folder on the same NAS
Venice AI This is the file's NAME
And sometimes I use a super fast - external -SSD for fast editing

The NAS and the external SSD and my Ma&c notebook and Mac Studio are all in the same - wired - network.

In the past it never was a problem.
Thanks for your hint ... but that is just the problem .... AP v2 does not let me copy/paste ... because I get an error message when I try to do that.
In ON1 and pages I can do copy/paste and in ON1 I can export to JPG or png ...
It's just that AP v2 makes a problem of it ...

You would ask macOS to take a screenshot, e.g. Cmd+Shift+5 (on Sonoma, at least).

Actually, no, it's a folder. The file's name is Venice AI 20240823 (and some more).

But thanks for that info.

I would start by shortening the file name significantly, and seeing if that helps.

Actually, I would probably start by confirming the permissions in Finder for the Fotografie and of the Venice AI folders. Then shortening the file name once the permissions have been confirmed.

Have you verified that, at the time the error occurs, you are able to create files there using other applications, or "touch" from a Terminal window?

Hi @walt.farrell thanks for reply. You're right about map and filename. Was a little bit too fast ...
Problem is solved thanks to the tip of @wonderings.
I restarted everything possible exept the NAS. There had been an update to the NAS so I thought this would be sufficient ... but that was wrong.
So a restart did the job and AP v2 is working again.

Thank you all for helping me.
Kindest regards,
jef
