Mukesh Jodhani Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Hello all, I am new to Designer (been using Inkscape) and was wondering if there is a tool, other than hacks and workarounds, to measure degrees of various parts of a drawing. Please refer to the attached image. Thanks in advance. Quote
Komatös Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Hello and welcome to the forums, @Mukesh Jodhani No, unfortunately there is not yet a tool to measure the degree of a line. John Rostron Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 As a workaround, you could try rotating the object using the Transform panel. See what rotation you have to apply to get a vertical (or horizontal) line. Do this for the two limbs of the angle, then take the difference in the angles. MiWe Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 If you mark node A and B with the node tool the transformation panel shows the corresponding angle. See screenshot. Does this help? carl123, John Rostron, Alfred and 1 other 4 Quote
John Rostron Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 That looks a much simpler procedure than mine. I had to mark two nodes with the node tool by dragging a rectangle to enclose them; then the angle shown was that at the first of the two nodes selected.
