Hi everybody!

I recently noticed something strange: since the update to 2.5 (all apps) *.afbrushes and *.abr files appear with the Publisher logo as thumbnail on my computer. And if I double click them, Publisher starts. But Publisher doesn't support brushes and never did. I don't know if this really is something to worry about, because it is easy to change that. But could this possibly point to a bug? I read about many bugs in this update.

Publisher can install Brushes, for example by using File > Import Content

They're only usable if you have Photo or Designer, of course.

Just reassociate those file extensions with Affinity Photo

Hi Walt!

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I saw that it works. But I was suprised, because in the past these file types were always associated with Photo and Designer, what makes more sense, I think. But it might be not important.

Hi carl123!

Yes, I already did that. I only wanted to point at this, because I thought that it might possibly be an indication for a bug. OK, probably not so important.

For those new to Affinity who might be unfamiliar with what @walt.farrell means by this, if you have AP & AD installed then in APub the Designer & Photo personas become available via StudioLink.

Not terribly important in V2 which application you Open them with, at least if you've set your applications to automatically Link new content categories.

I just Opened a .abr file with Publisher (using Open With from File Explorer) and the raster brushes are available in the Photo Persona of Publisher, the Photo Application, and the Pixel Persona of Designer.
