I thought after this weekend update, my fonts were fine yesterday, but now I see that none of my Dexa Pro fonts, which I use for everything, are loading in AFPub. Not listed in the dropdown. They are fine in Photoshop, and I use Connect Fonts to manage them. This is MAJOR since my daily page design has been 100% based on them for years. In fact, I'd like them default but AFPUB won't let me do that.

I probably can’t help with the ‘missing fonts’ issue but...

Update of what?

What do you mean by that? "Default" in what way and where?

How did you come to that conclusion?

Update? What version of APub are you using?

You can set any font as your default with Edit > Defaults > Save and you can also edit the default text styles and save those as your default.

If you installed the beta, which is the only update that happened in the last week, and you have installed the variable version of this font, try restarting your computer.

I've followed every suggestion I could find, often multiple times, and have never been able to keep the defaults as I set them. Sometimes until restart, but always gone to the point I've accepted this as a major weakness in the software. I've tried and thought maybe I'm missing something. There should be an easy way that I could resolve this, but Arial always comes back.

Since you are reporting this issue with the beta software, do you also have the same problem with the commercial release of the software?

(Problems with only the beta software, and not the commercial release, should be posted in the relevant beta section of the forums.)

Only the forum moderators can move threads and I don’t work for Serif.

Someone will probably be along at some point to do what’s necessary, if they see this.

It’s not a big problem, it just helps to keep the forums tidier so people can find stuff more easily.

Thank you. As you can guess, I try to live with my beta and never comment, but this was just such a huge issue for me and maybe not for others. I don't get over here much.

Hi @.DK.

I can see this is occuring in the beta for you, but can I just double check if you are also saying this is occuring in the release build?

If the issue is Beta only then this is something we are already aware of and it should be fixed in a future build.

I don't use the release builds, just the beta. And I've reboote three times and suddenly the fonts are the way I had them before. It's still odd, that AFPUB didn't see fonts that were resident and could used by other apps. But for me, issue went away.

The issue "Fonts installed via Creative Cloud cannot be found" (REF: AF-2909) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.5.0.2430".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.
