Steffix
Hello, It's about Affinity Photo. Hoe that i do it in a right way here... Unfortunately my English is not very good, but i hope it works. When or how can the Nikon 180-600 Z lens be added to Affinity Photo? I just installed the latest update, but the lens is still not included. What should be done please? Can somebody help please. Komatös
Hi @Steffix and welcome to the forums. Affinity Photo uses the data from the LensFun project. If the lens is not listed, you should submit a request to the LensFun project. https://lensfun.github.io/calibration/ Steffix 1 Quote AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | INTEL Arc A770 LE 16 GB | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (22631.3296) AMD A10-9600P | dGPU R7 M340 (2 GB) | 8 GB DDR4 2133 MHz | Windows 10 Home 22H2 (1945.3803) Affinity Suite V 2.4 & Beta 2.(latest) Better translations with: https://www.deepl.com/translator Interested in a robust (selfhosted) PDF Solution? walt.farrell
The lens information used by Affinity Photo comes from the Lensfun Open Source project, at https://lensfun.github.io/ Sometimes they will have newer data than the data that is included in Affinity Photo 2, and in that case yiou can download a .xml file from their site and install it yourself. The developers will include newer Lensfun data periodically, but I'm not sure of the schedule for that. As @Komatös mentioned, if Lensfun not have your lens, you can request they add it. You can also perform the calibration yourself, and then add it to your copy of Affinity Photo 2, or submit it to them for inclusion in the database. Steffix
@walt.farrell thx a lot! alos to @Komatös .... Thank you very much i tried to look there, but the lense is not in the official list and not in the developer list. I don´t know how i do that by myself. I´m a simple photographer who use only the software. I can´t find a mail adress on https://lensfun.github.io/calibration/ to report that missing lense till now. David in Яuislip
If I'd stumped up 1800 quid for that lens plus the body plus a sturdy tripod plus a gimbal plus someone to carry it the last thing I would use is Photo with lensfun correction. I couldn't find it on DxO, maybe Capture One or Adobe but why not use Nikon software? If that lens ever makes it into lensfun I'll eat my chapeau Steffix and Ron P. 1 1 Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/
