Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Thomas. :)

You can align to a key object in version 2 of Affinity Designer, but not in version 1.

V1 has a limited align (not space) option for a key object: the first/last selected object.

In AD v2, let's say you want to align one object centered horizontally to a second object, select the 1st object then while holding SHIFT down select the 2nd object, release the shift key (both should be selected) then click while holding down ALT, click on the one you want to align to and click the image.png.620a18fc2b2d034590228aa95121c5b2.png horizontal center align icon. You can also align two objects to a 3rd in the same way, just ALT click on the their object you want to center to.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)

When 2.4 is released the key object is going to be used when using the space horizontal/vertical feature too.

Has your question been answered or is there something that you cannot do and if so in which application and on what platform?
