Affinity Publisher — words not properly displayed in most recently used terms lists in Find and Replace panel.

The problem(bug):

The problem occurs in "Find and Replace" panel.
Only single characters are displayed in the list of recently used terms. For both "Find" section and "Replace with" section.

I see the same on my Windows laptop. Also happens in the 2.4.0.2256 beta.

The issue "[WIN] Find and Replace Recent dropdown only displays one character from the search term" (REF: AF-1944) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.0.2279".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
