Seneca Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 I wonder whether this is only my problem but when clicking on Normalise Break on Copy in Plain Text in the preferences Panel doesn't stick across program launches. I don't want to reset my preferences in case this is a real issue for other as well. I'm on MacOSX Ventura 13.6.4 Here's the video to illustrate what I'm seeing. retain.mov Quote 2017 27” iMac 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 • Radeon Pr 580 8GB • 64GB • Ventura 13.6.4. iPad Pro (10.5-inch) • 256GB • Version 16.4
MikeTO Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 I'm seeing the same thing but this isn't new in the beta, it was this way in 2.3.0, too. Staff NathanC Posted January 5, 2024 Staff Posted January 5, 2024 Hi @Seneca, I've now logged this with the developers. Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 6, 2024 Posted January 6, 2024 I'm a little confused, because for me, on both Windows and macOS, that setting option is "Preserve Unicode Breaks when copying plain text", not "Normalize Breaks on copy ...". Why the difference? Why the difference? It's a US vs. UK English string difference. Oddly, the UK string is "Normalize" with a Z instead of an S. It's "Preserve" in the US version. walt.farrell 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.5, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
