DarkClown Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 As you can see in the attached screenshot the object size of the frame within the document I'd like to export is 400x100px (Layer "Exportbereich"). Line width of this simple rectangle is 0pt. The export dialog is set to "selected area" (Bereich der Auswahl) but it tells me it would like to export 401x101 pixel. I don't understand why. And final export size is actually 401x101!. Problem is: for Webdesign I need 400x100 and not a pixel more. Of course I can define the export size precisely in the export dialog but in that case I have no control where the single pixel is cut of exactly. As well the export dialog window displays "119%" - something I don't understand as well. Maybe someone has an explanation. walt.farrell Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 Your X and Y coordinates for the object are not integers. Move the object so it properly aligns to the pixel grid. walt.farrell Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 That should just be the zoom level of the Preview image. Maybe someone has an explanation. When launched, the export panel initially adjusts the artwork preview size so it will fit in it's own window. Something like "Zoom to fit" but in preview space. walt.farrell 1 Quote

GarryP Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) A possible additional issue here could be that your document units are in Points (see the Transform Panel) but you are exporting with dimensions measured in Pixels (see the Export Dialog). If you know you want pixel-perfect exports then I would recommend using a document UOM of Pixels so you can more easily make sure that everything is nicely aligned to the pixel grid. See attached example where my line is aligned to integer points and is of an integer point width but, when I show the Pixel Grid and view the document in Pixel View Mode, you can see that nothing is ‘nicely aligned’. Edited December 28, 2023 by GarryP Added example. walt.farrell 1 Quote
