Ruslan TV Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Hi! Working with a mask is critycal part of professional work. Now — You can't quickly convert Mask Layer to Pixel layer. — You can't edit Mask Layer with Adjustment Layer (it just doesn't work for Mask layer) Is it possible to fix it any time soon? Quote
Dan C Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Hi Ruslan TV, With your layer selected, click the channels studio, find your layer named "mask alpha", right click it and create greyscale layer. This will create a pixel layer from your mask. Using the same method you can then use adjustment layers on the new greyscale pixel layer, and if you wish, convert it back to a mask (Layer > Rasterise to mask) Hope this helps. Lee Quote
Ruslan TV Posted November 13, 2023 Author Posted November 13, 2023 @Lee_TThank you! But this is not a solution, but rather a cumbersome workaround. You still won’t be able to see the effect of mask correction in real time. Quote

It is possible to make some macros that converts and re-converts a Mask Layer after having applied some preferred Adjustment Layer settings. Though I agree that it should be possible to do adjustments directly on to the mask without the need to do so. Quote
fde101 Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 If the mask was originally applied as a child of some other layer: Drag the mask out from underneath the layer and place it above the layer that was masked. Group them. Place a Curves Adjustment as a mask of the mask layer, and adjust its Alpha (not Master) curve. Quote
