I cannot find other options under the Pixel layer output.

Recommended Posts

Following James' tutorial on Youtube, where he explains the RAW workflow, he explains that there are three options under Pixel Layer output. I have no way to find these other options. I have loaded a number of RAW files directly from camera imports and there is no way to change the options. I have also looked under Settings and there's nothing there either.

Can someone please explain this? thanks.

You need to be using the Serif Labs raw engine, not the Mac Apple raw engine. it is in the Develop Assistant. It is in the Preferences under Assistant. and then Develop Assistant.

If you are on Windows then this is of no use to you.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

If the advice above does not help, @Martin new, please confirm that you're using V2, and show us a screenshot of the complete Photo 2 application window after you Open a RAW file and end up in the Develop Persona.

Meanwhile a year later I have the same issue. I am in Affinity 2, can’t change the drop down menu from pixel layer to raw,  have serif turned on and the context tool bar showing.

just done a video course/lesson in Affinity and person giving the course was unable to say why.

Thanks.

Christine.

Hi @Edielovesjazz,

Just clarifying, as @Old Bruce mentions above, that you have the RAW engine set to Serif Labs rather than Apple (Core Image RAW) in the Develop Assistant?

If you have and it's still not working, can you upload a RAW file where you're experiencing the problem so we can take a look?

It would help to have a screenshot of what you're seeing. Please include the complete application window.
