Can't filter anchors when adding a cross reference [1971]

Recommended Posts

In the original design for cross references we were able to enter Filter Text for anchors which I've used for every xref I've created. In build 1971, we can do this for paragraphs and index marks but not for anchors. Was this on purpose?

The only workaround is to scroll the list of hundreds of anchors to find the right one. You can't activate the list and type the first letter to jump to the first item with that letter.

Thanks

It looks like this was an intentional change. I'll raise an improvement.

That's too bad, I don't know why you should be able to filter index marks but not anchors, they're both just markers. It worked well before.

The issue "Cross references - allow anchors and index marks to be filtered by name" (REF: AF-2) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.3.0.2165".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.

This was reported as fixed in build 2096 and seems to be working fine in 2157.

I think we forgot to re-close it when the Anchors work was added/fixed. The history on that ticket is not clear
