Andreas Scherer
As long as there's no actual project open, some of the icons in the Toolbar (Symbolleiste) are totally empty and the background shines nicely through. 🤓
MikeTO
Confirmed on Ventura. The app has to start in light mode - switching to dark mode or from dark mode won't exhibit the issue. Creating a document will resolve the issue until the document is closed. I believe it is only those that are affected. I did add all the icons to the toolbar to check in Designer. 😂

lixie
The "best" part is, when you click in that empty icon area, you will be switched to whatever application is in the back. Eg, if you have a browser open behind the app, you will be switched tot he browser. If it's the Finder, you will be switched to the Finder.
