However, I would either way not use TextEdit as an editor for XML coding/previewing here, as it lacks too many common features one would usually expect from a modern programming text editor.

I only suggested TextEdit because a) it is adequate for this simple task & b) it is an app that every Mac user already has installed. IOW, I wanted to keep it as simple as possible for Kent.

I am show you File > Export not work for me.

In Blender you have to first covert the object to a Grease Pencil object before you can Export to SVG.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Or just open the file in TextEdit, change "ascii" to "UTF-8" in the first line, & click on File >Save. As long as that is the only thing you change, the save will not change the file extension to RTF, identifying it as a Rich Text document. It will still have the .svg extension & will open without problems in Affinity.

I'm a Blender user so I have some advice. Use the regular export as curves from Blenders built in addons instead of export grease pencil.

To do this you'll need to make sure the actual object is a curve object, but you can transform from grease pencil and geometry based object to curves by using the convert to function (if it's a polygonal model, you'll need to delete > faces only first).

Now you should be able to export using the regular export > curves (SVG) . if you've enabled it from the built in addons menu, and ensure you enable selection only in the export window.

This is far better at exporting compatible SVG files.
