Typing Or Free Hand Drawing On A Layer And A Rectangle Layer On It

I want to remove the region letter signs (a, b, c, …) on the map.

 

Then I want to type region names on them;

 

By

 

A) Drawing 

 

B) Artistic Text

 

How can I do those?

Are the letters part of a Pixel layer?

No they are Rasterized Image as part of the backround.

That's a yes, they are part of a Pixel layer

You will need to paint over them with the color that surrounds them. 

Then you can use the Artistic Text Tool to write what you want.

A) Free Hand Drawing

 

Step 1) I paint It with Vector Brush Tool.

Step 2) I choose Black for drawing letters. (Area Names) 

However letters can not write over the painted area. It remains below of the Vector Brush painted area.

B) Artistic Text

 

Step 1) I paint It with Vector Brush Tool.

Step 2) Then I put Artstic Text and type.

But I can not move Artistic Text.

The bottom area painted with Vector Brush Tool also moves.

Why are you trying to paint-out raster information with a vector brush? You should be using a raster brush, in the Pixel Persona.

Select the Move tool. Click on the Text layer in the Layers panel, so that it is active and highlighted. Drag the Text with the mouse. Alternatively you could also move the text precisely to certain coordinates by entering the values in the fields of the Transform panel.

To prevent the map from being moved accidentially, you can lock it. Click on the Layer of the Background and then on the Lock-symbol on the top right of the Layers panel (if I remember it well).

@iconoclast I believe that 'move with the mouse' does not work on an iPad (See info in its Member Title). 😏

I have never seen that mentioned, that I can remember. But I don't have a mouse attached to my iPad to test with.

@Mainecoon364: As suggested, does it work if you use your finger, or the stylus (if you have one)? Can you give us a screenshot including the Layers panel, please, with your added text and the background visible on screen and the text selected?
