Yes, I know. But I also know that every other software prompts for update whenever you start it.

Maybe they could have an option to "Don't tell me again", for those of us who don't want to be nagged every time we run the software, but also don't want to stop work to update immediately.

(I'm not sure it's correct to say that "every other software prompts for update whenever you start it". With the software I use, some does (but often only with a small indicator, not a dialogue box in the middle of the screen), some only prompts once (like Affinity) and some has to be checked manually for updates!)

I am OK with prompting me for update, but if I start the apps 5-10 times a day I'll never know there is an update.

Well, you will next day!  😉

Personally, I'm not that bothered about installing every update as soon as it is available, but, as I said, probably the best compromise would be for the prompt to appear every time you start the software, but have an option "Don't show again" (until next day), rather than just a button to dismiss it. Either that, or have an option in the settings for how often you want the software to check for updates. (Every time you start it, once a day, once a week etc.) – It's up to Serif to decide what they think most users prefer. I'm pretty sure that it works the way it does because of some peoples concerns about continual nagging!

No. It is 24h after last start. If it was at 10 PM then next check will be after 10 PM the next day and I will start it at 8 AM that day.

Well, that is "next day", it isn't "never"!

I don't really understand why you seem so insistent on update notifications being changed to suit yourself, rather than my suggestion of giving everyone a choice! Honestly, I don't think there's much point in this discussion. At the end of the day it's down to Serif to decide!

Looks like the Export SVG with transparency is not resolved, at least in both Designer and Photo. Can anyone verify if you can export SVG with a transparent background? (I'm on v2.2.1.1)

@TC Conway

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)

Sorry if you are still having this problem. I assume you are now using the release version 2.1.1 (this is an archived beta forum for the beta tested before we officially released 2.1.1

Please can you report any problem you are having with the release version in the appropriate V2 Bugs forum
