Preset doesn't work properly in 2.1.0 Develop

Recommended Posts

Hello.

When you load a raw, the selection of presets works and all settings are made.
After developing this first image and opening a second raw, the prest is displayed even though it was not selected. (This was also the case until V2.1). Now when selecting the preset so that the settings are used, nothing happens. (Up to V2.1 these were then applied) With version 2.1 you have to select another preset before using the desired one, so that then in a second step you can select the preset which you want to use for the first as well as for the second image.

Regards

Jens

Hello,

I think on screenshots you can't see it and if it can be seen on screen recordings I can hardly imagine. I can suggest that I show 5 min live over a short video conference the error.

Greetings

Jens

I am seeing the same behaviour as was present in version one. I open a second (or third etc) and while I still have to choose the (already chosen/selected/indicated) preset, the settings are then applied. There is no need for me to select a default or just different preset.

This is on Mac OS 11.7 so perhaps this is only for some flavours of Windows?

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I've treid to capture the bug, but in the capture the content of the preset dropdown will not been showen.

In the Video you can see, that I load the first raw file after start Photo 2.1 and the develop persona will start.
Then I do the following steps:
- select a preset - Result: the preset works
- develop the image and close this.
- load a second raw image - Result: The image is loaded in develop persona and the preset dropdown is showing the selected one of the first image
- klick on the selected one shown in the dropdown (Thats the one I want to use for this picture) - Result: nothing happens (Up to 2.0.4 the preset will be used; time 0:38)
- klick on an other preset - Result the other preset works (In the video I ude the standard with no settings. You only can see that the preset will be selected; time 0:43)
- klick on the same preset I want to use and didn't work before (time 0:46) - Result the preset will work

Weird that when you click on the preset you do not get the dropdown menu working.

No. I see the dropdown and it works in most cases. It's only not able to see in the capture.

The issue is that the settings of the preset are not been applied if I use the preset witch is shown selected after load an image. That's a problem when I want to use the same preset in two or more images in a row.

The solution would be when then shown selected preset will be reseted everytime after load a new raw image to standard with no settings. A second way for a solution was that the use of a shown selected preset will work when I choose it as it does up to 2.0.4.
