I've found gost come to my documents. Sorry I don't know what you call it, but it makes me uncomfortable. I'm not sure if my file is damaged or not.

Are they Column Guides?

View > Guides

If not, uploading the document to the forum might help

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

It came from Column Guides. and it doesn't go away even if I delete artboards.

It comes when you click outside the artboards and drag you mouse to select something.

To get rid of them this process worked for me on iPad.

  • select the bottom layer „Template #1“
  • Reset the column guides for that layer to 1 column, 1 row, and deactivate „visible“
  • Select all layers
  • deactivate „guides visible“
  • Now the guides are no longer shown

Never the less, it seems a bug that the guides are shown on two levels in 2 sizes, inside every artboard plus on canvas, too.

Hi @BBG3,

Thanks for your report & file provided!

I can confirm I've been able to replicate this issue with your file and I will be logging it with our developers now.

I have also been able to recreate this in a new document (steps below), which should help our devs to resolve this issue.

  • Create new non-artboard document
  • View > Guides > apply column guides
  • Artboard Tool > Insert Artboard
(!) Note the Column Guides disappear, but will now show when creating a marquee selection
  • Draw a new artboard next to the second one
(!) Now when marquee selecting, these 'ghost' guides encompass both the first and second artboard area

I hope this helps :)

Hi NotMyFault,

Thanks for your help. I can't find "visible" and "guides visible". Could you send me a screenshot?

Thanks
