AP 2.1.0.1730 mask variants not working

When clicking on mask icon in AP 2.1.0.1730, do not get the drop-down menu offering choices for different mask selection options (luminosity etc.) as I do in v2.0. However, normal mask is created. Am I missing something? Thank you.

As per the Release Notes:

Adjusted mask behaviour

From customer feedback the drop down menu when hitting the mask button in layers panel has been removed, and logic for how the assistant determines if a mask should be added as a new layer or a child altered.

What a pity; what was a one-click solution is now three/four!

It has been suggested that we look at a long-press or right-click to envoke this flyout by other forum users but as Lem3 has pointed out, it was intentionally removed.

Now there's a plan, Chris B! Right click (easier to remember than a long-press for we octogenarians). Great idea - I miss the ease of conjouring up the mask permutations and combinations as in v. 2.0.4, so please add my voice to the legion of "right click" advocates; or even a masking icon in the tool bar, a bit like the different options for brushes!
