Placing images in Photo/Designer V2

Is there any reason that when placing images in Designer or Photo there is no option to select multiple images (as done when access is via Publisher).

I can place multiple images on canvas but have to select and add each one individually.

Hi @DM1,

I believe when QA raised this previously it was marked as by design.  However, I'm getting them to bring this up again as it seems odd to me and even the help file for Designer and Photo state you can place multiple images.

I'll update here once I know a bit more :)

Best way on iPad to open multiply is to drag´n´drop pictures from the Files app or directly from the picture app into the iPadOS…

Works great!

Happy amateur that playing around with the Affinity Suite - really love typograhics, photographing, colors & forms, AND, old Synthesizers!

To be more precise - you do a multiselect in Files app or in Photo app and drag´n´drop multiply files…

But only when images are in the same album. If your images are buried in 50’000+ images in hundreds of albums that method doesn’t work. Thankfully the new method that is coming looks great.

Hi @DM1,

Just thought I'd highlight this post by Ash, as he has confirmed the Dev team are going to look into enabling placing multiple images in Designer and Photo :)

Thanks @stokerg. I can report it’s working perfectly in the photo 2 beta. Makes things much easier!😁👍
