rvsf Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 Patterns are still the big Achilles heel of affinity. Please include vector patterns or at least the ability to add them to the palette in bitmap format. This is the only reason why I keep using illustrator. Mandu Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 If I remember correctly, patterns were planned for before V2 release. But I guess, that's gonna wait. Quote

Vector patterns are still missing. However, I don't believe that is the core of what is being requested here, but rather the ability to store those patterns on a swatch palette... which is already possible: Create an object and use the Fill Tool to assign that bitmap fill to the object. Make sure the target palette is selected on the Swatches panel. Click the "Add current fill to the palette" button. rvsf 1 Quote

Thanks, altought this is a bit confusion because I have to select Fill tool again to add the pattern correctly, If I select this pattern with any tool the object get a solid colur Quote

n_shcherbakov Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 The problem is more complex than described. We need not only the ability to use vector images as a fill, but a full-fledged pattern editor that would have the same functionality as Adobe Illustrator: tile type, offset, dimensions, overlap etc. rvsf 1 Quote
