Jim57
Is there a way to make a pen stoke that has 2 different end caps? I'm working on a tutorial on making trees. As in the attached picture, the tree starts with square end caps, then adds rounded corners at which point the end caps are still square, but step three shows the end caps on the tips of the branches to be rounded, yet the end cap at the trunk base of the tree is still square. I would like to know if there is a way to accomplish this aside from making all the end cap strokes rounded to start with and covering the bottom stoke with a square white box. Old Bruce
I would group the trunk and branches and leaves and then clip the group. BlueLiner
Or another way just use LAYER-EXPAND STROKE on the trunk (starting with a stroke with butt cap) as the last step, then use the corner tool on the top as desired Jim57
BlueLiner
or just use a rectangle to begin for the trunk and stokes for the arms. Corner tool the top of the trunk and done. Jim57
Old Bruce
Or.... make small line at the bottom of the trunk (just duplicate it and shorten from the top) then use the Square ending for that second shorter line. loukash
Add a Square Solid stroke end at 33.33 %: Or vice versa, use Butt Caps and add a Circle Solid end. Did you check in pixel view? On iPad, it seems to truncate decimal digits, even if I enter formula 1/3, and caps don’t match perfectly. Edit: works on iPad, too. In v1, the display will be rounded to 33, but I'm of course entering 33.333333 Edited January 16, 2023 by loukash see below Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
