HappySloth
I’ve been working with Affinity designer (on the iPad) to start making seamless patterns using vectors and by making an art board separately for my symbol mock-up. The problem is when I copy and paste the symbol layer onto the art board to preview the repeat. I copy and paste, I have snapping turned on and for some reason I have a minute gap between the symbol layers that are visible when I export. I have attached a jpg that I created without a pattern so the gap is visible. Any help on getting rid of the gap is appreciated. BlueLiner
I think you will find when you export and use the pattern you will not see the lines. I have something similar in the desktop version but exports fine here's a screenshot, and my afdesign file. If you do, I suspect you square is not the same size as the artboard and / or centered Test_Pattern.afdesign

Make sure that the symbols are exactly aligned to pixel boundaries and that their width and height does not have a fraction of a pixel. You can see this by looking the Transform panel as seen in @BlueLiner's screenshot at the bottom right. d. NotMyFault
This might help and search the forum for : seamless thin lines anti-aliasing pixel alignment Fractional position If you want to to find out more about usual causes and ways to avoid. If your target is raster format export like JPG PNG, it is easy to repair. If your target is keep it vector and export to SVG or PDF, it gets more complicated. HappySloth
@NotMyFault thanks so much. I did have a good look in the forum but there didn’t seem to be any quick fixes. I’m surprised that if there are lots of threads that affinity wouldn’t have worked a fix by now. Thanks again
StuartRc
Hi I found a couple of issues with the template: a. Dimensions and positioned rectangles are not all equal and exact b.
