Morgoth Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 When using a triangle as a text frame it starts the text at the top of the triangle and then moves towards the base. If I flip the triangle upside-down the text follows the orientation of the triangle. Is there a way to flip the triangle and then have the text start at the base and move towards the tip? Quote
G13RL Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 @Morgoth, turn the triangle over vertically and draw a rectangle over it, covering it completely. Select both, do a Boolean operation "Intersect". Keep the triangle selected, "Layer", "Convert to Text Frame". The text will move from the base to the tip of the triangle. Morgoth 1 Quote
Morgoth Posted January 14, 2023 Author Posted January 14, 2023 That is just so simple that there would've been no way for me to think of it. Thanks G13RL, works like a charm. G13RL 1 Quote
G13RL Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 You're welcome, and to give credit where credit is due, unless I'm mistaken, that's @Alfred who gave the solution a few years ago. Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 I haven't tried it, but I think you could simply select the Triangle, and then Geometry > Add. Then convert to Text Frame. GarryP Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 (edited) A slightly quicker method (told to me by someone else), unless I’ve misunderstood the situation, is to: 1. Draw the triangle; 2. Layer → Transform → Flip Vertical; 3. Layer → Geometry → Add; 4. Layer → Convert to Text Frame. (Walt just got in before me there.) Edited January 14, 2023 by GarryP walt.farrell 1 Quote
