Select Object / Select Same of hidden objects

Recommended Posts

I don't know is it bug or purpose behavior, but when I Select Object or Select Same with Select Hidden Objects deselected, objects witch are in hidden groups, but their visibility in layer panel is set as visible, are selected. To exclude them from automatic selection, I have to find them in layer panel and change their visibility to hidden.

Yeah, but I was in AD V1. In V2 they add new options "Select Hidden Objects" which you can uncheck. With this options off, hidden objects are not selected.
BUT only when that objects are hidden itself. If they are not visble, because they are child of hidden layer (but in layer panel are marked as visble), they will be selected.

I'm joining the party, this function is lacking a proper excluding system. I want to select curves that have the same colors, but it also select curves I don't want to.

I did some objects, with clipping masks. Theses curves have little objects I want to remove, so I use select same fill color. I can uncheck the "select hidden objects", but as my little objects are inside bigger objects, I would have to open EVERY object and hide them one after one...!

So, what about just hiding the upper object that nest the little ones? NOPE. It select the objects I don't want to.

The issue "Select same / object hidden object toggle issue" (REF: AFD-6617) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.2.0.1857".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
