NotMyFault Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 So all Affinity apps are not intended as CAD or math tools. Using vector curves based on Bézier curves provide an approximation which is „good enough“ for artistic and illustrative purposes. I would not cross a bridge which is based on a Design made in Affinity apps 🥶 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. p382c Posted January 5, 2023 Author Posted January 5, 2023 in truth, we have no way of proving what's perfect, you may be right. while i'm not using the app to create bridges, we are aiming to be optically close to circle. what prompted me to check is that there was something obviously off. so i checked if it was just an optical illusion because the arc looks flatter at its apex: Brian_J 1 Quote

firstdefence Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Warp by its nature is a distortion. What happens if you place a dwg file from a cad app such as CorelCAD, will Affinity make the CAD drawing less than?
