How to clean the system from all Affinity installations?

Recommended Posts

How to clean the system (Windows 10) completely from all Affinity installations? Also registry entries etc.

After that I want to reinstall V2.

I have V1 and V2 on the system, but V2 has problems that I could not fix even with a reinstallation. Is there a way to rid the system of all Affinity entries without having to reinstall the system?

I am so Sorry, Google translate for me, I am not liable for Google ;-))

Don’t know about Windows, but be sure that you have backup files for your V1 add-ons first!  BRUSHES, ASSETS, STYLES, MACROS, PALETTES.  A clean system means a clean install, means default entries in all of those Panels.  “Forewarned is fore-armed.”

I believe that, generally, reinstalling the app does not help. I would suggest closing all the V2 apps, then starting Publisher or Designer. Hold the Ctrl key while you start it, and release when you get the Clear User Data dialog. (On Windows, you might need to click on the app's icon on the Taskbar to get the dialog to show up.)

Once you have the dialog, select everything, and click Clear.

After uninstalling Photo V2 on windows 10 I did a registry search for serif and found the following keys

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\PolicyCache\SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPhoto2_3cqzy0nppv2rt
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\UserData\UninstallTimes

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TypedPaths
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store
