headhacker
Hello, Is it possible to directly migrate the LUTs from v1 to v2? I have a dozens of custom categories and lists that I would like to move over. I know opening v1 and exporting each is probably an option, but is there an easier way to save some time? Also, can you make a preference for color icons in Adjustments? It really helps each one to stand out so they are easier to find. Thanks, Jon
Staff Chris B Posted November 28, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 28, 2022 Hey headhacker, When you installed and ran V2, you should have been prompted to migrate any V1 content to V2. Can you remember if you did that? If you did, it should have migrated all the LUT's in their respective categories to V2. If you didn't do it, you can try this: 1. Close V2 2. Hold ctrl on the keyboard. Whilst holding ctrl, launch V2—a dialog will appear 3. Uncheck everything but then check the box that says 'Reset Content Migration Prompt' 4. When V2 opens, say yes to the prompt and your categories should appear Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
walt.farrell
@Chris B: I have migrated content from V1 to V2 several times, and my custom Adjustment presets have never migrated. I don't have any custom LUTs, but I've noticed this with Gradient Map adjustment presets. Staff Chris B Posted November 28, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 28, 2022 I did a quick test before posting and the LUTs did move. I've got 15,000 installed on my work pc so I'll check tomorrow when I'm back in the office. I did log an improvement suggestion to be able to drag-drop folders of downloaded content which would auto-create the categories from folder names so I'll give that a nudge too. I saw the prompt originally, but was not sure which option to choose. As I bought originally with the App Store, and then later added stuff via the Affinity Store. I think I chose App Store, should the choice make a difference to the LUTs and other presets? I'll give it a try and report back.

This worked, when I selected App Store this time .. thank you. COMMENT: probably not the forum for this, but the new interface is very boring and basic. It is UGLY in my humble opinion. The functionality as always is great - but the UI is just a plain and boring application now.
