SandyKron
I "placed" an image and tried to practice using the knife tool. I'm new at this. Once I dragged the knife tool across the image, the image disappeared completely. Does anybody know where the image went, and how I can see it again? Affinity Designer V2 on Windows 10 PC. Thanks! NotMyFault
Seems a bug. works if you convert the image layer into curves. after cutting, you need to re-adjust the fill, as the fill gets wrong dpi and position. firstdefence
The knife tool cuts vector objects not raster images. You can duplicate the image and then nest each image into the newly created sections to get a pseudo fragmented image. see this post for a similar question Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... NotMyFault
a simple solution: create a rectangular shape in same size as the image nest the image to the rectangle use knife tools on rectangle Then you get a perfect result. In essence: don't use knife tool on image layer. Use on vector shapes, which have the image nested as child layer.
